Cardinal pitcher Jason Motte is coming to the Softball Classic!

Former Cardinal Colby Rasmus had agreed to come to the Softball Classic, but unfortunately he was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays. Fortunately, pitcher Jason Motte has agreed to take his place at this year's Classic!

The 2011 Softball Classic is scheduled for Sunday, September 4th, at Laderman Park in Belleville, Illinois.

The Softball Classic will begin at 5:00 PM Central, and will continue until 10:00 PM. In those five hours, watch the Home Run Madness Derby, and then the main event -- a softball triple-header featuring the Arndt family team -- Rick Arndt and 11 of his 13 sons!

Throughout the entire day, a co-rec tournament will be taking place on both diamonds at Laderman Park.

As always, admission is completely free, and there will be food and drinks for sale, ice cream, candy stands, attendance prizes, and games for the kids!
