ANNOUNCEMENT

The 10th Annual Safe At Home Softball Classic will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2008 (Labor Day weekend), at Laderman Park in Belleville, Illinois, the site of the previous nine Classics.  Activities will begin at 4:00 PM, and run until about 9:30 PM.  

Like all previous Classics, the 2008 event has been designed so that visitors of every age (and especially families) will thoroughly enjoy -- and long remember -- the experience!

As has been the case in past years, the Arndt men will square off against a St. Louis/Illinois media team and other opponents in an evening softball triple-header.  These two games will be preceded by a Home Run Madness home run derby, in which members of the general public are invited to participate.  In addition to watching softball action, visitors are invited to visit the various game and food stands that will dot the landscape of Laderman Park!

This year's Classic will feature an added dimension; at some point during the evening, Rick and Cathy Arndt, along with several of the oldest members of the family, will take some time to chat with those who are assembled, exchanging greetings, answering questions, posing for photographs, etc.
